Read the review of year 2000's summer concert which appeared in the Ely Standard on 8th June 2000.
Our Christmas concert will be Saturday 8 December in St Mary's Church, Ely. The programme will include Five Mystical Songs and Fantasia on Christmas Carols by Vaughan Williams as well as traditional Christmas carols.
Our spring concert will be Saturday 27 April 2002 in Bury St Edmunds' Cathedral. We shall be singing Rossini's Stabat Mater and Faure's Requiem.
This is now planned for 8 June 2002, venue to be confirmed. Programme will probably include Handel's Coronation Anthems.
At St Mary's Church as usual. We would welcome suggestions of your Christmas favourites.
Possibly at Soham or Fordham - Mozart's Requiem with shorter pieces by Mozart and Haydn. We would have a small orchestra for this.
Ely Lady Chapel - Chori Spezzati (music for a large space). Works by Gabrielli, Tavener and Gorecki.
